How Your Estimate Is Calculated

Every dumpster rental quote in the GTA is built from four cost components. The calculator combines them using real GTA market base fees, density factors per debris type, and per-municipality permit estimates.

Base Drop/Pickup Fee

The flat delivery, drop-off, and pickup fee for the bin size you choose. GTA base fees range from about $320 for a 10-yard bin to $650 for a 40-yard, with a 15% uplift in Toronto/Vaughan and a 5% discount in lower-cost submarkets.

Disposal Weight Overage

Each size includes a tonnage allowance (1–4 tons). Debris above the allowance is billed at roughly $125/ton. The calculator estimates weight from bin size × debris density (junk, renovation, roofing, or clean fill) and applies a ±12% band.

Extra Rental Days

7 days are included in the base fee. Each extra day is billed at roughly $20/day. Move the duration slider to see how extending your rental affects the total.

Street Placement Permit

A bin on a public street requires a municipal permit ($150–$215 depending on the city). A bin on a private driveway does not. The calculator adds the permit line item only when you select street placement.
