Pricing Data Methodology
BinExpress is an independent directory that helps Ontario residents and contractors compare disposal bin rental prices in one place. This page explains exactly how we collect, verify, and estimate the pricing data shown across our site, and what each verification badge means.
What the Verification Badges Mean
Every price on BinExpress carries one of three verification badges. These badges tell you how confident we are in the price and where it came from.
Confirmed directly through an official vendor source or direct communication.
Calculated using available market and vendor data.
Information found publicly but not recently confirmed.
Where Our Pricing Data Comes From
We use four primary sources to build and maintain the BinExpress pricing database. Each price is assigned a status based on how the information was obtained and whether it has been independently verified.
Vendor-Submitted Pricing
Vendors in our directory can submit their own base fees, included tonnage, overage rates and rental periods through their BinExpress dashboard. Vendor-submitted pricing is our primary source for individual vendor pricing.
Direct Verification
Our team may contact vendors directly by phone or email to confirm submitted pricing. Pricing confirmed directly with the vendor receives the Verified badge, along with the date it was verified.
Market Data & Ranges
We calculate local market ranges for each bin size using verified vendor pricing. When a vendor has not submitted or confirmed a price for a particular bin size, we may show an Estimated price based on available market data and comparable vendor pricing.
Public Price Reports
Customers and other users can submit prices through our Report a Price tool. These prices are labeled Reported until our team can independently verify them with the vendor.
Prices are provided for comparison purposes and may change. Final pricing, included tonnage, rental periods, delivery fees, disposal fees and other charges are determined by the vendor at the time of booking.
How Often Prices Are Updated
Verified prices are re-confirmed with vendors at least every 90 days. If a vendor updates their own pricing through their dashboard, the verified badge is removed until our team re-confirms the new price.
Estimated prices are recalculated whenever the underlying market data changes significantly, such as when multiple verified vendors update their rates for the same bin size.
Reported prices remain labeled as Reported until our team verifies them directly. We prioritize verification of reported prices that differ significantly from the known market range.
Vendor Listing Policy
BinExpress lists any disposal bin rental company that serves an Ontario city we cover, regardless of whether the vendor has claimed their profile or submitted pricing. This ensures our directory remains comprehensive.
Vendors who have claimed their profile can update their own pricing, contact information, and service areas. Unclaimed vendors may have pricing entered by our team from publicly available sources, and those prices are labeled accordingly (Estimated or Reported).
How Rankings and Sort Order Work
BinExpress is an independent directory. We do not accept payment for higher rankings in any comparison table or ranking tool. The sort order in our price comparison and cheapest bin rental tools is determined solely by the pricing data itself, sorted by base fee or estimated total cost.
Vendors cannot pay to appear higher in search results or ranking lists. Premium listing features, when available, are clearly labeled and do not affect sort order or pricing data.
Limitations and Disclaimers
Prices shown on BinExpress are a starting point for comparison, not a binding quote. Actual costs may vary based on your specific project details, current availability, seasonal demand, fuel surcharges, and the actual weight of your debris as measured at the transfer station scale. Always confirm the final price with your chosen vendor before booking.
